Ingrid Riollot – Classical Guitarist – International Soloist
Franco-Australian guitarist Ingrid Riollot has earned international recognition for the refinement, lyricism, and heartfelt sincerity of her playing. Her performances captivate audiences of all ages with their depth and poetic sensitivity.
Her passion for the guitar has taken her across the five continents, performing in France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Peru, Thailand, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Morocco, Switzerland, and Chile, among others.
A respected pedagogue and dedicated ambassador for the classical guitar, Ingrid is regularly invited to serve on juries for international guitar competitions including Changsha (China), Albania, Academy Rainier III (Monaco), and Adelaide (Australia). Her master classes and lectures are welcomed by universities and conservatories around the world such as the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, UQAM (Montréal), Silpakorn University (Bangkok), University of Chile (Santiago), and the University of Pedagogy (Chile).
A graduate of the Pôle Supérieur d’Art de Lorraine, Ingrid holds a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy and was awarded First Prize with the Congratulations of the Jury from the Lyon Conservatory. She has studied with renowned artists including Marc Franceries, Jesus Castro-Balbi, Ricardo Gallén, Joaquin Clerch, Marco Tamayo, and David Russell, and has over two decades of teaching experience in conservatories in France, Switzerland, and China.
Ingrid’s musical path reflects her curiosity and openness to many forms of expression — from solo recitals to chamber music and world music collaborations. She has shared the stage with artists such as Craig Ogden, Vincent Lindsey-Clark, the Grigoryan Brothers, Paul Svoboda, Tania Chagnot, Sandrine Vialette (flute), Anaïs Gaudemard (harp), Juliette Maeder (cello) and Patrick Bebey (sanza, pygmy flute, percussion). She is a member of the Silver Sands Guitar Quartet (Australia) and also performs as a soloist with various orchestras.
Her discography includes six recordings that reflect both her artistry and curiosity. Her four solo albums — Homage (2015), My Guitar (2021, Soundset Recordings, USA), Leyenda (2022, King Parrot Classics), and Travel Notes (2025, Soundset Recordings, USA) — trace a journey through her musical world. In chamber music, she appears on The World in a Single Grain (2024) and Strange Times (2026) with the Silver Sands Guitar Quartet, and on African Sunrise – Tribute to Francis Bebey (2025) with Patrick Bebey.
Ingrid’s music has been featured on Radio France, ABC Australia, Mauritius Broadcast Corporation, Radio 1 Mauritius, and The Heroines of the Classical Guitar podcast (Canada).
Now based in Esperance, Western Australia, Ingrid continues to nurture her art and share her love for the guitar. She serves as Artistic Director of the Taranaki Classical Summer School and Concert Series (New Zealand), Artistic Director of the French Week Festival in Esperance (Western Australia), Editor at Doberman-Yppan Publishing (Canada), and Godmother of the Classical Guitar Society of Mauritius.

La guitariste franco-australienne Ingrid Riollot est reconnue internationalement pour la finesse, le lyrisme et la sincérité profonde de son jeu. Ses interprétations captivent les publics de tous âges par leur intensité et leur sensibilité poétique.
